Clobex (for the skin) is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.
Clobex may also be prescribed for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Before you take Clobex...
Tell your doctor if you have any type of skin infection before taking this medication.
Dosages of Clobex varies by patient. Use Clobex exactly as prescribed by your doctor and/or the directions on your prescription label.
Wash your hands before and after using Clobex, unless you are using the medication to treat the skin on your hands.
Apply a small amount to the affected area and rub it gently into the skin. Do not use this medicine over a large area of skin.
Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit.
If you miss a dose of Clobelx, use the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip themissed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
If you suspect youmay have overdosed on Clobex, or are having an allergic reaction the medication, seek medical attention immediately.
Less serious side effects may include:
-burning, itching, or irritation of treated skin
-dry or cracking skin
-redness or crusting around your hair follicles
-temporary hair loss
Clobex is a type of steroid. Steroid-related side effects include:
-seeing halos around lights
-sleep problems (insomnia)
-weight gain, puffiness in your face
-muscle weakness, feeling tired
Serious side effects include:
-severe irritation of any treated skin
-a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out

There are drugs that interact with Clobex. You should tell your doctor about all of the medications you use, including prescription drugs, vitamins, supplements and herbal products, and over the counter medications. You should always tell your doctor before you start taking new medication.
